The 68-years-old man, Tan, from China, started drinking a litre of strong spirits daily at the age of 13
He has been consuming it for three decades.
At the age of 40, one litre of strong rice wine was included in his daily diet. As a result of heavy drinking, fatty tumours were grown all around his upper body, especially his neck.
The man has been diagnosed with Madelung’s disease, also known as symmetric lipomatosis. Doctors are planning surgical recession for Tan’s growths.
However, recurrences of the fatty lumps can be expected unless Tan stops drinking
